For 3rd Year, Kenna Honored by Cybersecurity Insiders

Again and again and again! Here’s another one.

For the third year in a row, Kenna Security has won a Cybersecurity Excellence Award from Cybersecurity Insiders. 

It’s great to be recognized, but this is also an important sign that we’ve remained committed to being the best at what we do. And we’ve done it in a year that cybersecurity professionals across the industry faced no small number of challenges.

400,000 experts can’t be wrong

The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards are produced by Cybersecurity Insiders and the Information Security Community on LinkedIn. The awards leverage the expertise of the community’s 400,000 experts to recognize and honor organizations, products, and individuals demonstrating cybersecurity excellence.

Which is to say that this award is judged by people who know what they are talking about.

Continuing to push for better

As an organization, we continue to push new ground in vulnerability management. In a world where most companies are drowning in vulnerability risk, our customers are able to achieve meaningful results with less work than they could using traditional means (such as CVSS scores, scanner prioritization and spreadsheets).

The secret sauce in this mix is our use of data science, and its application to vulnerability management and risk reduction. 

That data science, by the way, continues to be leveraged by the researchers at the Cyentia Institute in our Priority to Prediction series.

Last year, we introduced risk-based SLAs for vulnerability management, a first-of-its-kind feature in our segment of the industry. 

This new feature helps organizations determine an acceptable level of risk by comparing it to outside benchmarks and attacker speed. At companies that have adopted them, risk-based SLAs have had a huge impact. IT teams can “self-serve” when it comes to prioritizing vulnerabilities to patch, and Security teams can serve in an advisory capacity. It’s light years ahead of the old way of doing things.
